Accountant joins canyons association board
Shannon Psenda has joined the Colorado Canyons Association board of directors as treasurer.
“As a board, we are delighted to welcome Shannon as a director. She brings with her important expertise and — more importantly — enthusiasm for the work of Colorado Canyons Association and our three national conservation areas in Western Colorado,” said Willie DeFord, board president of the CCA. The nonprofit organization promotes stewardship of national conservation lands and focuses on the Dominguez-Escalante, Gunnison Gorge and McInnis Canyons national conservation areas.
“I wanted to give something back because I enjoy hiking and spending time in the areas the Colorado Canyons Association works to protect and promote,” Psenda said.
Psenda works as a certified public accountant and controller for Dalby, Wendland & Co. in Grand Junction. She’s worked in public and corporate accounting since 1998. She’s also a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and Colorado Society of Certified Public Accountants, serving as past treasurer of the Western Slope chapter.
