Accounting firm announces promotions

Dalby, Wendland & Co. has announced the promotions of eight people working in the Grand Junction office of the public accounting and business consulting firm.

Steve Hovland

Steven Hovland, a certified public and forensic accountant, has been promoted to associate principal. He brings to his latest duties 12 years of experience in audit and accounting services as well as forensic investigations. Hovland is a member of the Colorado Society of Certified Public Accountants, American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, Financial Managers Society, Healthcare Financial Management Association and American College of Forensic Examiners Institute. He also serves as a member of the River Technology Corp. board. He holds a bachelor’s degree from Colorado Mesa University.

 

 

Nathan Fyock

Nathan Fyock has been promoted to audit supervisor. He provides auditing and accounting services to a variety of industries. He’s a member of the Colorado Society of Certified Public Accountants and American Institute of Certified Public Accountants. He holds a bachelor’s degree from Adams State University.

 

 

 

 

Melissa Hoaglund

Melissa Hoaglund, a certified public accountant, has been promoted to tax supervisor. She specializes in individual and business income tax preparation and business consulting. Hoaglund is a member of the Colorado Society of Certified Public Accountants and American Institute of Certified Public Accountants. She holds a bachelor’s degree from Colorado Mesa University.

 

 

 

Sabrina Hoyt

Sabrina Hoyt has been promoted to tax supervisor and brings to her duties experience in tax return preparation and planning for individuals, businesses and nonprofits. She’s a member of the Colorado Society of Certified Public Accountants. She holds bachelor’s and master’s degrees from the University of Nevada Las Vegas.

 

 

 

 

Lisa Thon-Kollar

Lisa Thon-Kollar, a certified public accountant, has been promoted to tax supervisor as well and brings to her job experience in tax return preparation and planning for individuals, businesses, trusts and estates. Thon-Kollar is a member of the Colorado Society of Certified Public Accountants and American Institute of Certified Public Accountants. She holds a bachelor’s degree from Colorado Mesa University.

 

 

 

Janet Lee

Janet Lee, a certified public accountant, has been promoted to accounting supervisor. She brings to the position more than 15 years of experience in tax compliance for individuals, businesses, nonprofits, partnerships and trusts and estates. Lee is a member of the Colorado Society of Certified Public Accountants and American Institute of Certified Public Accountants. She holds a bachelor’s degree from the University of Central Oklahoma and a master of taxation degree from the University of Denver.

 

 

 

Erin Duckworth

Erin Duckworth has been promoted to senior accountant and works on audits for a range of clients. She is a member of the Colorado Society of Certified Public Accountants and American Institute of Certified Public Accountants. Amber Elsberry

Amber Elsberry, a certified public accountant, has been promoted to senior financial accountant. She is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and serves as treasurer on the board of the Western Slope Chapter of the Colorado Society of Certified Public Accountants. Elsberry holds a bachelor’s degree from Colorado Mesa University.
