Alpine Bank promoting volunteerism

Alpine Bank will continue to encourage employees to volunteer as part of National Volunteer Week scheduled for April 15 to 21.

Alpine Bank also will offer nonprofit organizations a chance to win $4,500 as part of a celebration of the bank’s 45th year in business.

“At Alpine Bank, giving back to our community is paramount, and it takes many forms,” said Tom Kenning, chief administration officer of the bank. “When we volunteer and encourage others to volunteer, together we are building stronger communities.”

Alpine Bank pays staff to volunteer not only during National Volunteer Week, but also year round. In 2017, bank employees volunteered a total of more than 14,000 hours to help address diverse community needs.

Alpine Bank will give Colorado nonprofits a chance to win $4,500 through a #TrailblazeChange Facebook Challenge. Anyone can nominate a nonprofit organization. Volunteers are encouraged to share the names of their favorite nonprofits and why they like to volunteer. Go to Alpine Bank’s Facebook page for details and to enter. Last year alone, the bank donated more than $3.7 million to community nonprofits in Colorado.

Headquartered in Glenwood Springs, Alpine Bank operates 38 locations across Colorado and employs nearly 680 people. For more information, visit the website at
