Applicants sought for city planning and zoning boards

Applications will be accepted through Aug. 5 for openings on the Grand Junction Planning Commission and Grand Junction Zoning Board of Appeals.

The commission hears planning and zoning matters and makes recommendations to the Grand Junction City Council. The zoning board considers appeals of administrative decisions, variances and setback requirements.

Grand Junction residents interested in serving on the boards should send an application and letter of interest to the Grand Junction City Council, in care of the City Clerk, 250 N. Fifth St., Grand Junction, CO, 81501. Applications are available online from the city website at www.gjcity.org.
