Appraisal firm plans Value the Valley picnic

Brownlee Appraisal Services in Grand Junction has scheduled its annual Value the Valley picnic for Sept. 26.

The free event is set for 5 to 7:30 p.m. at the grand pavilion at Canyon View Park near 24 Road and Interstate Highway 70. The event is open to the public and will include food and prizes.

Brownlee Appraisal Services offers real estate appraisal services for homeowners as well as for the accounting, construction, legal, lending and property management industries. The company serves Mesa County as well as Delta, Garfield and Montrose counties.

Five of the six appraisers who work for the company have earned residential and Federal Housing Administration certification. Three also hold Veterans Affairs certification. Earlier this year, a licensed-level appraiser and trainee appraiser joined the operation.
