AT&T offers 4G LTE service in Grand Junction

AT&T now offers 4G LTE service in Grand Junction, offering customers faster Internet speeds on their mobile devices.

“With 4G LTE in Grand Junction, customers will be able to download, upload, stream and game faster than ever before on our 4G LTE network. As we see demand for mobile Internet skyrocket, our ongoing investments in the Colorado Rockies are designed to give businesses, residents and visitors increased coverage and reliability,” said Bill Soards, president of AT&T in Colorado.

AT&T invested more than $475 million in its wireless networks in Colorado between 2010 and 2012. Nationwide, AT&T covers more than 292 million people with its 4G network.

The company’s 4G LTE service, shorthand for the fourth-generation in the long-term evolution of mobile communication standards, offers speeds up to 10 times faster than 3G service. That reduces the time required to download a webpage or file as well as improves mobile gaming and two-way video calls and telemedicine.
