Rich Krohn is among the winners of awards bestowed by the Grand Junction Housing Authority during its annual meeting.

Krohn, a lawyer with the Grand Junction law firm of Dufford, Waldek, Milburn & Krohn, received the Legacy Partner award for the legal assistance he’s provided the authority for 30 years. “Rich has been one of our strongest advocates, closest allies and a true champion for the housing authority. We appreciate everything he has done for and meant to us,” said Jody Kole, chief executive officer with the authority.

Friends of Seniors awards were presented to four people who serve seniors in the community: Mike Calabro of Museum of Western Colorado, Dan Olson of Gentiva Home Health, Joann Stamp of the Center for Independence and George Wheeler, former owner of the Nellie Bechtel Apartments.

Kole also was honored for her 25 years of service to the authority.
