Audiologist to give the gift of better hearing

A Grand Junction audiologist has teamed up with a national hearing devices company to help five people financially unable to purchase digital hearing aids.

“Everybody deserves to hear at the best possible level. I don’t believe anybody should be turned away for their hearing needs because of their financial situation,” said Jennifer Bebee, an audiologist who operates the Western Colorado Hearing Clinic.

Applications for the Gift of Better Hearing Program are available at the clinic at 2139 N. 12th St., Unit 4. Completed applications are due Feb. 28. In exchange for an application, people are asked to donate a nonperishable food item for a local food bank.

“I want to help our community, whether it’s to help them achieve better hearing or by helping to put food on their table. This program is a win-win,” Bebee said.

The Western Colorado Hearing clinic offers diagnostic audiology, hearing rehabilitation with amplification, hearing loss prevention and tinnitus treatments and ear wax removal. For more information, call 549-4660 or visit
