Author events continue at downtown store

A series of events featuring local authors continues at Crystal Books and Gifts in downtown Grand Junction.

Off the Shelf events are set for Thursdays at the store, located at 439 Main St., and include readings, presentations and workshops.

The July 31 event will start at 6 p.m. and feature Rebecca Carpenter, author of “Total Destruction of Chloe Wilson,” and Lucinda Stein, author of “Spiral of Darkness and Sanctuary: Family, Friends and Strangers.”

The Aug. 7 event will begin at 6:15 p.m. and feature Jan Lawson, author of “Kuya Kai” and “Poems to See Me Through,” and Marcus Straub, author of “Is It Fun Being You?” and “Unleash Your Greatest Potential.”
