Book sale and authors meet and greet planned

A benefit book sale is scheduled to continue through Dec. 14 at the Mesa County Libraries.

In addition, a meet and greet event with local and regional authors is set for Dec. 8.

The sale will run during regular hours at the central library located at the intersection of Fifth Street and Grand Avenue in downtown Grand Junction.

The sale will include books, CDs and DVDs with most items priced under $10. Gift certificates for use at A Novel Idea Bookstore in the library also will be available for purchase.

Proceeds will benefit the Friends of the Mesa County Libraries, a nonprofit organization that has supported library programs for nearly 50 years.

The regional authors meet and greet is set for 2 to 4 p.m. and will feature as many as 35 authors. Their books will be available for purchase.
