Business professor earns second Fulbright Award

A Grand Junction college professor has earned a second Fulbright Scholar Award, this time to teach entrepreneurship in Denmark.

Tim Hatten, a business professor at what soon will become Colorado Mesa University, expects to teach at the Niels Brock Copenhagen Business College during the 2011-2012 academic year.

Hatten plans to teach courses in entrepreneurship, counsel students at a business incubator and lead a camp where Danish and international students will work together on projects.

Hatten joins about 1,100 U.S. faculty and professionals who will travel abroad under the Fulbright program for 2011 to 2012.

Hatten has taught at Colorado Mesa University for 16 years. He won his first Fulbright Award in 2001 to teach entrepreneurship at Reykjavik University in Iceland.

Hatten also wrote the best-selling textbook “Small Business Management: Entrepreneurship and Beyond,” now in its fifth edition.
