Businesses join in animal shelter fund-raiser

Grand Valley businesses have joined in an annual fund-raising campaign to support the Roice-Hurst Humane Society animal shelter in Grand Junction.

Through October, paper “paws” will be available for a donation of $1 or more at Alpine Bank and Loco Food Store locations as well as at Coronado Liquor Mart, Chow Down Pet Supplies, Fisher’s Liquor Barn and other participating businesses.

Donations from the Dollars for Dogs and Cash for Cats campaign will help Roice-Hurst continue its 50-year-old mission of providing a safe haven for abandoned and relinquished pets until they go to new homes.
