Car wash installs improvements

Splish Splash Car Wash has improved its Grand Junction facility by adding more pumps to clean mud off vehicles and new awnings to shade customers using the free vacuum stations.

Two new pumps expelling recycled water at 400 gallons a minute better remove the mud that can stick to vehicles, especially trucks and recreational vehicles.

“There is just too much mud,” said Brett Meinberg, president of Splish Splash Car Wash. “Everyone warned us, but we didn’t listen. We are making it right and are dedicated to ensuring we provide the best wash in Grand Junction. And that means cleaning off this mud.”

The new awnings will offer shade over the free vacuum stations.

Located at 2475 U.S. Highway 6 & 50, Splish Splash Car Wash operates the largest car wash tunnel in Colorado with an automated facility that can accommodate 200 cars an hour in an assembly line fashion.

Splish Splash Car Wash operates from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday through Saturday and 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. Sundays. Car washes sell for $7, $10 and $13. A $30 a month unlimited pass, which includes the $13 wash, is also available.
