Catering business to mark first year with open house and benefit sale

A Taste of Heaven Catering in Grand Junction will celebrate its first year in business with an open house and benefit memorabilia sale. The event is set for Jan. 25 at 2817 North Ave. An open house and memorabilia sale will start at 4 p.m. A free dance is planned for 8 to 11 p.m.

Since A Taste of Heaven Catering is located in what formerly was a Furr’s Cafeteria, the business will sell 300 of the original trays used at the cafeteria for $10 each. All proceeds will benefit the Hilltop Latimer House and its services to people affected by domestic violence.
