Chamber honors businesses for expansion efforts

The Grand Junction Area Chamber of Commerce has honored five businesses for expanding their operations.

Startek was among the recipients of chamber awards bestowed at a quarterly membership luncheon meeting for adding 401 jobs at its facility in Grand Junction. Capital Books and Wellness added 32 positions.

Hammerhead Paint Services was honored for a $775,000 capital investment. Grand Junction KOA made a $97,000 capital investment and added three jobs. CommWest received an award for a $15,000 capital investment and adding one position.
