Colorado firm completes installation of Army National Guard solar array
A new solar energy system has been installed at the Colorado Army National Guard Readiness Center in Grand Junction.
The 172-kilowatt array provides enough power to offset the equivalent of 450,000 pounds of carbon emissions.
Bella Energy, a Louisville company that specializes in medium- to large-scale solar electric systems, installed the system.
“Bella Energy is extremely proud to work with the Army National Guard installing solar on our nation’s military bases,” said Jim Welch, chief executive officer of Bella Energy. “Renewables like solar electricity are a key aspect of national security and will play an important role in our energy policy.”
