Commissioner elected to health committee
Mesa County Commissioner Rose Pugliese has been elected to serve as vice chairwoman of the Colorado Counties Inc. health and human services steering committee.
“It is important that public health and human service legislation that affects all of Colorado’s counties be balanced among both the urban and rural areas of the state,” Pugliese said. “I intend to use this opportunity to promote rural values and needs for pending legislation by getting other county leaders to tour our under-represented communities and engage with local leaders in a town hall-inspired dialog.”
A membership association, the CCI offers assistance to county commissioners, mayors and city council members in Colorado and encourages counties to work together.
