Communications analyst joins energy trade association

Aaron Johnson has joined a trade association of independent oil and natural gas exploration and production companies as a communications analyst.

Johnson expects to draw on his experience in congressional and corporate communications to bolster the outreach efforts of the Western Energy Alliance based in Denver.

“His skill set combines political and policy communications that are the lifeblood of a dynamic advocacy organization with corporate communications that will resonate with our members,” said Tim Wigley, president of the Western Energy Alliance.

Johnson served in communication and legislative roles for U.S. Reps. Marilyn Musgrave and Bob Schaffer. He also worked in corporation communications for Dish and General Dynamics. He holds a bachelor’s degree in economics from the University of Colorado and a master’s of business administration degree in marketing and communications from George Mason University.
