Computer firm donates to food bank
Simply Mac donated $1,000 to the Western Slope Food Bank of the Rockies, proceeds from a holiday drive at the company’s Grand Junction store.
Simply Mac donated money to the food bank to purchase 5 pounds of food for every computer purchased at the store between Nov. 16 and Dec. 15.
“Simply Mac was excited to partner with Western Slope food Bank of the Rockies. Simply Mac has been holding the Simply Mac Meals for Macs food drive in other areas for the last three years. With the addition of our new location in Grand Junction, we were excited to help people in the local community this year as well,” said Steve Bain, president of Simply Mac. “With the support of our loyal customers, we hope our donation will provide needed items on the shelves of the Western Slope Food Bank of the Rockies.”
Starlene Collins, manager of the Western Slope Food Bank of the Rockies, said she appreciates the help. “Even though we cannot eliminate poverty, our goal is to eliminate hunger. With the help of companies like Simply Mac and our generous community, we can accomplish that goal.”
