Department helping businesses comply with nursing mothers law

The Mesa County Health Department offers information and free assistance to businesses to comply with a new state law requiring them to accommodate employees who are nursing mothers.

The law requires businesses to offer time and private space for mothers to express breast milk at work. The law also prohibits discrimination against women expressing breast milk at work.

For information or assistance, call 254-4102.
