Department of Energy contractor among winners of excellence awards

S.M. Stoller, a Colorado-based company that provides services at the Department of Energy facility in Grand Junction, is among the winners of annual awards recognizing improved performance.

Stoller will receive a Foothills Award from Colorado Performance Excellence, a nonprofit group that helps businesses and organizations improve their performance. Stoller and other award winners will be honored at the Quest for Excellence event set for Nov. 5 in Littleton. The Foothills Award recognizes continuous improvement.

Based in Broomfield, Stoller provides a range of services at more than 100 Department of Energy sites across the United States, including the facility in Grand Junction. Stoller has served as the prime contractor in Grand Junction since 2002.

Colorado Performance Excellence offers training, education, assessments and an awards program modeled after the Malcolm Baldridge National Quality Award program.
