Department offers resources to child care providers

A Mesa County Health Department program offers information to help child care providers promote better nutrition and more exercise.

The Let’s Go 5-2-1-0 program promotes five servings of fruits and vegetables a day, two hours or less time in front of television or computer screens, an hour or more of physical activity and no sugary drinks. A 5-2-1-0 tool kit includes recipes for healthy foods, beach balls and information about fun activities that promote physical activity and guidance on encouraging families to support healthy eating and active living.
