“Dirt dance” raises $6,000 to benefit Family Health West

An annual benefit event dubbed the “Dirt Dance” raised more than $6,000 to help Family Health West purchase a new imaging system for the surgical suite at its Fruita hospital.

“Our goal was $10,000 to purchase a new C-arm so that our surgeons can take care of our community with the best in technology,” said Angelina Salazar, director of development and community relations at Family Health West. “We are quite happy with the result, especially an event that is only two years old. We live in a generous community.”

The Dirt Dance also recognizes members of the Fifty Families group that supports Family Health West.
