Donation by solar energy company powers savings for children’s center

High Noon Solar has completed the installation of photovolatic solar electric system the company donated to the Western Slope Center for Children in Grand Junction.

The system, which includes 43 solar energy panels located on the south roof of the center, is expected to reduce the annual electricity bill there by 40 percent. The savings will be used to provide services to child sexual abuse victims and their families.

High Noon Solar also has donated solar systems to KAFM Radio, the Roice Hurst Humane Society, Western Colorado Center for the Arts and Western Slope Botanical Gardens.
