Entrepreneur named inventor on fourth patent
Tom Y. Sawyer, managing partner and president of RSW Partners in Grand Junction, has been named inventor on his fourth patent.
The latest patent was issued for a system and method for collecting and updating geographical data. All of the patents for which Sawyer is the named inventor were for inventions developed while Sawyer worked as chief technology officer for Global Precision Solutions. “It’s exciting to see work done several years ago become a valuable intellectual property asset for this company,” Sawyer said.
In addition to serving as president of RSW Partners, a marketing, advertising and business consulting firm, Sawyer provides technology consulting services to a local high-tech startup and large health care provider.
Sawyer previously founded and sold an Internet data storage firm and served as president of a regional Internet service provider. He was founding president of Mover’s Suite, a moving industry software company.
