Event to feature deputy Interior secretary

Reservations will be accepted through Nov. 6 for an upcoming event featuring Kate MacGregor, deputy assistant secretary for land and minerals management at the Department of the Interior.

The Grand Junction Petroleum and Mining Club will host the presentation as part of an event set for 6:30 p.m. Nov. 16 at Two Rivers Convention Center, 159 Main St.

The event will include a social hour, meal and MacGregor’s presentation, titled “The Department of the Interior’s Role in Energy Dominance.”

Tickets sell for $35 paid in advance by check mailed to the Petroleum and Mining Club, 1985 1/2 S. Broadway, Grand Junction, CO, 81507 or paid online through the website located at www.grandjunctionpmc.com.

A limited number of table sponsors with seating for 10 is available for a minimum contribution of $400. Sponsors will be recognized at the event.

MacGregor manages a portfolio that covers four agencies: the Bureau of Land Management; Bureau of Ocean Energy Management; Bureau of Safety and Environmental Enforcement; and the Office of Surface Mining, Reclamation and Enforcement.
