Event to offer records management instruction
Advance registration is under way through June 20 for an annual records and information management seminar.
The Western Colorado Chapter of ARMA International has scheduled the event for 8 a.m. June 27 at the Mesa County Courthouse, 544 Rood Ave. in Grand Junction. The seminar originally was planned for May 2, but was rescheduled.
Advance registration costs $125 for members of the group and students, $175 for others. A $25 discount will be available for additional participants from the same company. Walk-in registrations will be accepted for $10 more. Registration includes the seminar and materials as well as lunch and break refreshments.

The seminar will offer information to anyone who handles records and information, including administrative professionals, information technology managers, lawyers, paralegals and others.
The seminar will feature John Isaza, who heads the information management practice at the Rimon Law Group, an international business law firm. Isaza is considered an expert in information governance as well as record and information management. He has developed programs and opinions for some of the most highly regulated Fortune 100 companies.
Isaza will lead three sessions on information governance, electronic document management and legal requirements and developing litigation holds. Participants will learn how to ensure regulatory compliance while minimizing risk with their records management processes and policies.
Continuing education credits will be offered.
