Family Health West adds digital X-ray to services

Family Health West in Fruita has installed a digital X-ray machine that offers benefits to patients and physicians.

“This upgrade to our imaging department is just one of many to be announced in the next few months,” said Mark Francis, president and chief executive officer of Family Health West. “We are dedicated to providing the best in health care services to our community.”

Instead of film, digital radiography uses a digital image capture device. The process not only eliminates costly film and film processing, but also offers techniques that enhance the image. Moreover, less radiation is needed to produce images.

“For the patient, it means less wait time and faster results,” said Michelle Angelo, radiology director for Family Health West.
