Family Health West names long-term care nursing director

Jill Pinedo has been promoted to director of nursing for the Family Health West long-term care facility in Fruita.

Pinedo joined Family Health West in 1995 as a staff nurse and since has served in many roles, including infection control, minimum data set coordination, social work and staff development. She previously served as assistance director of nursing.

“We are very fortunate to have an employee with excellent qualifications to support our long-term care nursing staff,” said Cheryl Dean, administrator of the Family Health West long-term care facility. “Jill understands our culture. She brings outstanding skills to meet the needs of our staff and residents.”

Pinedo said she enjoys her job. “Family Health West supports individual creativity, focuses on community and strives for future growth and opportunity.”

    So in the interm of this position, how many people did you throw under the bus to get your position. I hope she sleeps good at night knowing she will never be that great! Oh and as far as the culture goes I’m sure she gets being a sell out.
