Family Health West opens arthritis center

Dr. Sandy Horvath-Dori has joined Family Health West to treat patients at a new arthritis center in Fruita.

The Arthritis Center of Western Colorado is located at 576 Kokopelli Blvd. The center will offer evaluation, consultation and treatment of rheumatoid arthritis as well as such conditions as ankylosing spondylitis, mixed connective tissue disease, myositis, polyarthritis, psoriatic arthritis, scherloderma, Sjogren’s syndrome, systemic lupus-erythematosis and vasculitis.

The center is scheduled to open on a fully operational basis on  Feb. 11. Horvath-Dori expects to start seeing new patients in March. For more information, call 858-2590.

Horvath-Dori attended the University Medical School of Pecs in Hungary and completed her residency at the Hospital of St. Raphael at the Yale University School of Medicine. She completed a fellowship at the Medical College of Georgia.

A board-certified rheumatologist, Horvath-Dori is a member of the American College of Rheumatology and a fellow in the American College of Physicians. She also belongs to the Mesa County Medical Society.

“I am happy to be back in Western Colorado, where I have enjoyed living, and I am looking forward to treating patients with rheumatologic problems again,” she said.
