Fmily Health West offers transportation to patients

Mark Francis

Family Health West has launched a service offering transportation for patients with appointments at its outpatient procedure center in Fruita.

“In order to better serve our community, we are extending the service within a 100-mile radius. That means that our patients in Rangely, Montrose and Rifle can benefit and get the care they need,” said Mark Francis, president and chief executive officer of Family Health West.

Dr. K.C. Lewis of Western Rockies Interventional Pain Specialists said the service will help to ensure patients get to their appointments. “We have patients who do not have an automobile or they rely on family members to get them to their appointments.”

A nonprofit health care organization, Family Health West operates a hospital, outpatient procedure center, assisted-living and skilled-care facilities and other treatment centers in Fruita. For more information about transportation services or Family Health West, call 858-2148 or visit
