Free sale tax classes planned for Grand Junction

The City of Grand Junction and Colorado Department of Revenue will present two free sales tax classes.

The first class is set for 10 a.m. Feb. 29 at the City Hall Auditorium, 250 N. Fifth St. The class will cover tax licenses, sales tax rates, use tax requirements and available resources.

The second class is set for 9 a.m. March 1 in the City Hall Auditorium and is designed for business owners in the hospitality industry and sales tax professionals. The class will cover legislative changes, taxable and nontaxable purchases and home rule city requirements.

Preregistration is required. To register or obtain more information, log on to the Web site located at  www.TaxSeminars.state.co.us. Information also is available by calling 244-1536.
