Fruita bike shop adds Devinci line

Colorado Backcountry Biker, a full-service bicycle shop and tour operator based in Fruita, has announced plans to add the full line of Devinci Cycles to its fleet in 2014.

Devinci road and mountain bikes, including the Troy 650B and Leo Carbon models, are available for demonstration rides.

“Devinci makes a great bike, and they have a complete line from hybrids to road bikes to full-on downhill rigs,” said Tony Uriguen, general manager of Colorado Backcountry Biker. “We won’t have every model in stock to begin with, but we can get them and are as excited as heck to be able to bring these awesome bikes to the valley.”

Based in Canada, Devinci Cycles has developed a reputation for bicycles offering speed on mountain terrain. The winner of the 2013 World Cup downhill title at the Leogang Bike Park in Austria rode the company’s Wilson model mountain bike.

Located at 150 S. Park Square, Colorado Backcountry Biker specializes in custom specification bicycles and self-guided,

hut-to-hut bicycle tours on the Uncompahgre Plateau. The company has been featured in such publications as Adventure Cyclist, National Geographic and Outdoor Magazine. For more information, call 858-9005 or visit www.backcountrybiker.com.
