Gateway resort joins luxury hotel group

Gateway Canyons Resort has joined a group that provides organizational services and sales to support luxury properties around the world.

Gateway Canyons Resort has become the only member of Associated Luxury Hotels International in Western Colorado and one of only six members of the group in the state. Gateway Canyons also has been added to the group’s U-200 Gems specialty segment of 21 resorts with fewer than 200 guest rooms.

“Featuring an incredible natural setting and experience, it is a true gem of a resort that is an outstanding choice for smaller meetings and incentive programs as well as for meetings that require a high degree of privacy. We are very excited to be working with this exceptional resort and to sharing its amazing attributes with planners,” said David Gabri, chief executive officer of Associated Luxury Hotels International.

Located near Gateway southwest of Grand Junction, Gateway Canyons Resort offers luxurious accommodations and amenities in addition to more than 12,000 feet of meeting space. John Hendricks, founder and chairman of the Discovery Channel, developed the resort.

The resort includes three restaurants, a fitness center, spa and Gateway Auto Museum. The resort also offers such experiences as hiking and horseback riding, off-road excursions and helicopter tours.

Associated Luxury Hotels International offers a range of services to meeting planners to host meetings and incentive programs. More than 160 hotels and resorts belong to the group, creating a worldwide portfolio of properties with more than 115,000 rooms and nearly 10 million square feet of meeting space.
