Grand Junction companies among winners of Pinnacol Assurance safety awards

Two Grand Junction companies are among the Pinnacol Assurance policyholders in Colorado receiving awards for their performance in safety, loss prevention and financial and claims management.

Blythe Group, an architectural, interior design and project management firm, won a 2010 Circle of Safety Award. So did C5 Medical Werks, a medical device manufacturer. A total of 49 policyholders received the awards from Pinnacol, a workers’ compensation insurance provider.

“The common denominator among all the honorees is their long-term commitment to each area of risk management,” said Ken Ross, president and chief executive officer of Pinnacol. “Not only are the nine criteria for the Circle of Safety Awards extremely difficult to meet, the recipients have to maintain a high level of performance over a four-year period.”
