Grand Junction conference to address HR issues

An upcoming conference in Grand Junction will cover a number of topics related to human resource management.

The Western Colorado Human Resource Association has scheduled its fall conference for 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Oct. 20 at Two Rivers Convention Center, 159 Main St.

Admission to the full conference is $159 for WCHRA members, $179 for others. Admission for  a half day is $89 for WCHRA members, $109 for others. Up to six continuing education credits are available. To register or obtain more information, call 263-2584 or log on to

Lorrie Ray, director of the membership development department of the Mountain States Employers Council, will lead two morning sessions on internal investigations and exiting employee issues.

Shari Harley, principal of the Harley Group training and consulting firm, will lead two afternoon sessions titled “How to Say Anything to Anyone” and “Developing Strategic Leadership.”
