Grand Junction residents appointed to state boards

Two Grand Junction residents have been appointed to state boards.

Colorado Gov. John Hickenlooper appointed Kathleen Hall to the Strategic Action Planning Group on Aging. Hall will serve as a representative of private, public and community-based health care and long-term care facilities for older adults. The group examines the effects of aging on the Colorado economy and workforce and state programs and budgets.

Hickenlooper appointed Joy Thompson to the Division of Youth Services Community Board for the Western Region. Thompson will serve as a member with experiences with incarcerated youth. The Board promotes community involvement in division facilities as well as opportunities for youth to build relationships with adult role models.
