Grand Valley art studio tour planned

Twenty Grand Valley artists are expected to participate in an annual tour in which they’ll open their studios and demonstrate their techniques to the public.

The Grand Valley Artists Studio Tour, a free and self-guided event, is scheduled for 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. May 3 and 10.

Maps of the participating studios are available from Atlasta Solar, the tour sponsor, at 1111 S. Seventh St. in Grand Junction. Maps also can be downloaded from the Atlasta Solar website located at

The tour will feature artists working in a variety of mediums, including acrylics, batik, ceramics, oils, pastels, photography, sculpture and watercolor. The artists will be on hand to discuss their work and demonstrate their techniques. Their artwork will be available to purchase.
