HOA presentations planned

An upcoming presentation in Grand Junction will offer information about complying with homeowner association laws in Colorado.

The free presentation is set for 9 a.m. to noon Nov. 16 at the Clarion Inn, 755 Horizon Drive. To register or obtain more information, call 274-1286 or send an e-mail to Barbara@YourHOATeam.com.

David Firmin, an attorney with the law firm of Hindman-Sanchez, will cover the basics of complying with homeowner association laws.

A second presentation is scheduled for 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Nov. 19 at the Glenwood Springs Community Center, 100 Wulfsohn Road. That presentation will focus on new HOA collection laws, funding strategies for HOAs and ways to minimize risk. Attorneys David Graf and Wes Wollenweber will lead the event The presentations will be designed for HOA managers, board members and residents as well as businesses that serve HOAs.

“The new batch of laws really has a lot of HOAs confused,” said Barbara Lucks of Your HOA Team, a Fruita company that offers educational and referral resources to HOAs in Western Colorado. “We are grateful that these attorneys so close to the Legislature are providing pro bono information services to help our communities.”
