Holistic practitioners form trade association

A group of holistic health professionals in the Grand Valley has established a trade association to offer educational programs and other events that raise awareness of holistic practices.

The Collective Health Initiative, which recently gained status as a trade association, represents 260 health professionals and offers members opportunities to educate the public about their practices as well as network through an online forum.

“Since I created this collaborative group in 2008, our collective of health professionals has been able to network and help educate the community on holistic practices,” said Cindy Schmidt, director of the CHI. “Now that CHI has a strong foundation of holistic businesses, we will be able to offer the community insight into the benefits of these practices.”
