Kitchen manager wins Hilltop award
Meghan Nedveki, kitchen manager at a senior living facility in Grand Junction, has won the Hilltop Community Resources Mission Award.
The annual award recognizes employees who represent the Hilltop mission: “leading through action to make a difference for people of all ages.” Nedveki received the award during an employee recognition banquet.
Nedveki joined Hilltop in 2003 as a line cook, became a supervisor three years later and within a year took over as kitchen manager at the Commons, an assisted and independent living facility. Nedveki attends various training and leadership programs as well as culinary conferences.
Mike Stahl, chief executive officer of Hilltop, praised Nedveki in presenting the award. “Meghan has played an integral role in the success of the Commons. She has a remarkable brain and uses it to solve any problem sent her way. Her big-picture thinking will continue to help the Commons prosper for years to come.”
