Law firm posts online survey to find out what boomers know about estate planning

A Grand Junction law firm has created an online survey to find out how much baby boomers know about elder law and estate planning.

The survey is available on the Brown & Brown Web site located at www.brownandbrownpc.com. The father and daughter  attorney team of Baird Brown and Clara Brown Shaffer plan to use the results in a presentation at the Colorado Bar Association elder law retreat in August.

The two said the survey also is intended to encourage baby boomers to start planning for the possibility they could require long-term care as well as ultimately designate how they’d like their estates handled.

Located at 1250 E. Sherwood Drive, Brown & Brown emphasizes estate planning and elder law. Baird Brown, a certified elder law attorney, has practiced in Grand Junction since the late 1970s. Clara Brown Shaffer joined the firm in 2007.
