Maintenance firm expands to Grand Junction
A business that provides maintenance services for medical facilities has expanded its operations into Grand Junction and is looking for additional customers.
Building Services Group will provide services for the newly constructed Canyon View Medical Plaza scheduled to soon open on G Road.
The contract is the first for BSG on the Western Slope.
But the 14-year-old Centennial-based company hopes to further expand its operations in the area, said Henry Koehler, who handles business development for the firm. BSG has hired a technician to provide services at the Canyon View Medical Plaza, Koehler said.
BSG provides a range of building maintenance services, including work on heating, air conditioning and ventilation systems as well as electrical and plumbing systems. While the firm also maintains banks and commercial offices, it caters to the health care industry, including surgery centers and medical offices, Koehler said.
The company employs 12 technicians to provide services to customers on the Front Range, he said.
Outsourcing maintenance services offers a number of benefits, Koehler said. “It’s just a time and cost savings over the long run.”
Fees vary according to how many hours a technician works during a week. However, technicians are available around the clock to quickly respond to emergency calls, whether it’s a broken water pipe or window or an alarm, he said.
Technicians bring to their services skills and experience in building maintenance, including the special requirements of medical facilities, he added.
