Mesa Developmental Services recognized for electronic record keeping efforts

Mesa Developmental Services, a Grand Junction-based organization that provides a range of services to clients with developmental disabilities, is the first recipient of a new award from an organization that provides electronic record keeping systems.

MDS received the Gold Star Standard of Therap Excellence from Therap in recognition of efforts to implement various Therap modules and transition to paperless record keeping in less than a year. Anna Keith, national director of business development for Therap, visited MDS to personally announce its selection for the award.

Therap provides electronic record keeping systems to agencies that support people with disabilities, especially developmental disabilities, in the United States and Canada.

MDS provides support services to a total of about 650 children and adults in Mesa County. MDS operates 15 group homes, five program sites and other host homes and individual residential sites throughout the community. For more information, log on to
