Monument association names new director

Marilee Langfitt has joined the Colorado National Monument Association as executive director.

Langfitt brings to her duties experience in fund-raising, promotions, public relations and special events. She will handle those same tasks for the association as well as solicit individual and business memberships and supervise the operation of the store at the Colorado National Monument Visitor Center.

Celebrating its 50th anniversary this year, the association is a nonprofit group that partners with the National Park Service. The association uses proceeds from the visitor center store, memberships, special events and donations to support educational, interpretive and scientific programs at the Colorado National Monument.
