Motorcycle dealer to host Humane Society event

Grand Junction Harley-Davidson has scheduled a benefit event dubbed “Hawgs for Dawgs” to raise money for the Roice-Hurst Humane Society.

A poker run and after-ride event is set for June 29. Rider signups are set for 9 to 10 a.m. at the dealership, 2747 Crossroads Blvd. The cost is $15 per rider or $25 per couple. The after-ride event is set for noon to 2 p.m. and will include a barbecue and live music. A $10 donation is suggested.

Roice-Hurst will operate a booth selling t-shirts and other merchandise as well as raffle tickets for a quilt. The Vintage Motorcycle Club will have motorcycles on display. For $1, participants can vote for their favorites.
