Orthopaedic practice continues sports injury clinics

A sports medicine and orthopaedic practice in Grand Junction continues to offer weekly sports injury clinics for high school athletes.

Rocky Mountain Orthopaedic Associates (RMOA) conducts the clinics on Mondays throughout the school year. Athletes suffering from sports-related injuries should arrive at the RMOA office at 627 25 1/2 Road between 5 and 5:30 p.m. and will be seen in the order of their arrival. No appointments are needed, but a referral from a high school athletic training is preferred. Athletes under 18 must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian.

Members of the sports medicine team at RMOA will conduct evaluations, including X-rays, for free and recommend further care if necessary.

RMOA has provided free injury clinics for 12 years in cooperation with athletic trainers and physical therapists at Mesa County School District 51 and St. Mary’s Hospital. For more information, log on to www.rmodocs.com.
