Outreach volunteer available at workforce center

A volunteer from Grand Valley Catholic Outreach is now available on a weekly basis at the Mesa County Workforce Center, 512 29 1/2 Road in Grand Junction.

A representative from the organization is available at the center from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Mondays to offer help in obtaining such basics as food, clothing and housing.

The addition offers convenience to people seeking help with employment as well as other services, said Tracey Garchar, executive director of the Mesa County Department of Human Services. “By stationing a volunteer from Grand Valley Catholic Outreach at the workforce center, we are making that trip to self-sufficiency a quicker one.”
