Personal safety class for women planned

The Western Slope Center for Children and American National Protective Service will offer a personal safety class for women.

The two-hour class is set for 9 a.m. Oct. 15 at the Colorado Mesa University Center near 12th Street and Elm Avenue in Grand Junction. Admission is $25 for a team of two female participants ages 12 and older.

Proceeds will benefit the Western Slope Center for Children. Superior Alarm and Alpine Bank also will sponsor the event.
