Plastic surgeon to open Grand Valley practice
Dr. Rebecca Glasser expects to soon open a plastic surgery practice in Fruita and has joined the surgical team at Family Health West. Canyon Creek Plastic Surgery is scheduled to open Jan. 2 at 551 Kokopelli Blvd, Suite H.
Glasser is certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery. She attended medical school at the University of North Carolina. She completed training in general surgery at the University of Florida and training in plastic surgery at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
Glasser served on the board of directors of the Donna Foundation, an organization that assists breast cancer patients with the financial strain of health care costs. Glasser also hosted an annual benefit fashion show featuring her breast cancer patients as models.
“I decided to move to Colorado after spending several vacations with friends here,” Glasser said. “I look forward to continuing my work in plastic surgery and enjoying the incredible lifestyle of the Western Slope.”
Glasser will be a featured speaker at a new educational series for women hosted by Family Health West. The first event in the Ladies Night series is scheduled for 5:30 p.m. Dec. 11 at the Fruita Community Center, located at 324 N. Coulson St. Admission is free, but reservations are requested by calling 858-0360.
“We are really excited to have Dr. Glasser, one of the only female plastic surgeons on the Western Slope, here to educate women on options they have for looking their best while focusing overall on health and wellbeing,” said Angelina Salazar, director of communications for Family Health West.
